The Freshers' Reps (Freps) are a bunch of friendly, energetic, and incredibly helpful volunteers who are there to facilitate your transition into life as a Durham Student. On each move-in day, the Freps will be the ones welcoming you home in the bright red polo shirts! Continuing the SRC ethos of being led for students, by students, your Freshers' Week is planned and facilitated by this cohort of returners, so they will stay with you (and in their shirts) as the week goes on.

 

The Freps - led by our 2026 Head Freps, Will and Hamish -will be around from the moment you arrive to help you with anything you may need; they are all great on Durham advice and making you feel at home.

 

Each Frep has been through their own induction period, has studied here for at least a year, and many have 'frepped' before. Alongside this experience, every Frep undergoes a training period prior to arrivals week so that they are well equipped for every question you may have and any scenario you may face. Please do not hesitate to speak to them about anything you may need! They have volunteered especially to help you, and there's there's nothing they haven't seen or heard before!
