The SRC Levy
The SRC membership levy is currently £55 per academic year or £165 for your whole degree (regardless of whether you are doing a 3 or 4 year degree).
Details of how to pay the levy are sent out to freshers, alongside information about the college and SRC. If you have any questions please do contact the SRC President who will be able to assist you.
We would like every student to feel able to get involved in the SRC, if finances are an issue or you wish to discuss a different payment plan please do contact the SRC President or Treasurer.

Just some of the wonderful things the levy gets you...
1) Representation at a College and at a University level
As an SRC member, you can raise concerns with the SRC President, who will present these concerns to higher levels in college and in the university so that action can be taken.
2) Discounted Entry to SRC Events
This gives you significantly discounted entry to some of Durham’s best student events:
Hild Bede Winter and Summer Balls
Induction Week (for which you can only purchase a wristband as a member of the SRC)
College Day
Hild Bedestock (Beer + Music Festival)
Regular Bar Events/Acoustic Nights/Karaoke/Parties
Bedo's Bingo
College Formal
3) Allows you to join our many Clubs and Societies
You can come and meet the people that run these at the Team HB fair during Freshers’ Week. Have a look at the Sports and Societies section of this website for more details of what Clubs and Socs we have.
4) Voting rights and the right to run for SRC positions of responsibility (Exec, Reps and Freps).
