The college of St Hild and St Bede is one of the oldest and biggest colleges in Durham. It has beautiful and extensive grounds, and some of the most jaw-dropping views in the city. Sitting on neither the Hill nor the Bailey, Hild Bede is Durham's only river college.

Hild Bede is not just a set of beautiful buildings. Within them there is a thriving college community that you can become a part of. You will remain a member of college throughout your time at Durham and, in many cases, beyond. Hild Bede is truly a second home to many.

The SRC (Student Representatives' Council) is Hild Bede's student organisation. It is through the SRC that you can join college sports and societies, and get involved in a host of fantastic social events.
