Formals

“Formal” dinners are black tie events that are hosted in Hild Bede across the year. A fun opportunity to dress up and enjoy a quality three course meal and a few drinks, formals are social highlights in the college calendar, with normally 6 happening every year, and both college residents and “livers out” welcome. Our formals, unlike some other colleges, are not gowned, meaning you don’t need to worry about sourcing a gown to attend. We also often put on entertainment in the bar, such as a DJ or karaoke, following a formal. An event not to be missed, formals are in high demand, with sign up happening in advance on a first come, first served basis.
